Ballast Types
Select one of the following ballast types for nomenclature, specs, characteristics and input wattage.| Magnetic: | Core & Coil ballast (no electronic components). Also referred to as "electromagnetic". |
| Electronic: | Operated by electronic circuitry with a single coil component. Each component performs as an independent unit within the ballast. These ballasts are sometimes referred to as "high frequency electronic", "discrete" type, or (erroneously) as "hybrid". |
| IC Electronic: | Operated by integrated circuit allowing individual components to work together as a whole circuit. Integrated circuit electronic ballasts are sometimes referred to as "fully electronic". |
| Hybrid: | Core & Coil ballast with a single electronic component. These ballasts are sometimes referred to as "low frequency electronic". |
