Ballast Types

Select one of the following ballast types for nomenclature, specs, characteristics and input wattage.
Magnetic: Core & Coil ballast (no electronic components). Also referred to as "electromagnetic".
Electronic: Operated by electronic circuitry with a single coil component. Each component performs as an independent unit within the ballast. These ballasts are sometimes referred to as "high frequency electronic", "discrete" type, or (erroneously) as "hybrid".
IC Electronic: Operated by integrated circuit allowing individual components to work together as a whole circuit. Integrated circuit electronic ballasts are sometimes referred to as "fully electronic".
Hybrid: Core & Coil ballast with a single electronic component. These ballasts are sometimes referred to as "low frequency electronic".
